Lead, Technical Engineer
We are looking for a capable Lead, Technical Engineer, who enjoys IT infrastructure and network security, knowledge-sharing and possesses both deep and wide experience in the network security and data center. The role also requires the individual to provide onsite support within Kuala Lumpur and be available for outstation travel as needed to maintain, support and enhance customers’ network security.
This role will lead, strategize, guide, design and assist the support team and will be involved in implementing, deploying, maintaining and securing:
-Network, system boundaries and sensitive data
-Servers, storage and backup
Qualified candidates should have a background in Security, Electronics, Systems Engineering or IT Networking.
⬝A candidate in mid-30s with a Degree in Computer Engineering/Electronics/Computer Science/Information Technology or related field. However, candidates with lower qualifications but have experience more than 8 years are invited to apply.
⬝Preferably with 5 to 7 years proven work experience as a System Security Engineer or Network Security Engineer.
⬝Certification in CCNA, CDCP, ITIL, NSE or MCSE will be an added advantage.
⬝Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia both written and spoken.
⬝Strong interpersonal skills and able to communicate with all levels of management and co-workers.
⬝Familiar with enterprise products such as Cisco, HPE, F5, Fortinet, Lenovo, NetApp, Nutanix, Trend Micro and Veritas.
⬝Have a sound knowledge with some experience in implementing and deployment of MS Windows Server, Open Source-based servers, Active Directory, MS Exchange, Zimbra and other server-based technology such as database, virtualization and backup.
⬝Hands-on experience building and maintaining network and security systems.
⬝Experience with network monitoring and application performance monitoring tools.
⬝Familiar with web related technologies (Web applications, Web Services, Service Oriented Architectures) and of network/web related protocols.
⬝Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
⬝Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
⬝Well converse in Malay and English.
⬝Will be based in Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur however candidate may be required to work outstation.
⬝Possesses own transport and a valid driving license.

⬝Able to lead, guide, mentor and oversee a technical team that consists of Network and Technical Engineers in delivering company projects.
⬝To provide guidance, assistance and knowledge to the technical team in providing technical support to customers.
⬝To provide second-level technical support round the clock including response, manage, troubleshoot and resolve issues to customers when the technical team isn’t able to solve the issues.
⬝Conduct thorough risk assessments and technical audits to ensure network security.
⬝To identify, define, design, prepare and develop detailed network security designs including technical specifications to customers.
⬝Install, configure and maintain infrastructure devices or appliances.
⬝To implement, maintain and monitor security measures and standardization methods for the protection of computer systems, data center, networks and information for customers.
⬝Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols.
⬝To liase and maintain good relationships with customers.
⬝Coordinate with customers and sales team on technical specifications for projects.
⬝To assist sales team in sales presentation and tender preparation.
⬝Able to conduct training within organization and to customers related to network security or other projects that the company may involve.
⬝Ensure that the organization knows as much as possible, as quickly as possible about security incidents.
⬝Develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks.
